TOTAL SPINE HEALTH
Expert advice. Sensible treatment. A better understanding of your problem.
Mr Michael C. Quaye is a Consultant Spinal Surgeon and founder of Total Spine Health. He is trained in all aspects of spinal care, offering both surgical and non-surgical management across a wide range of spinal conditions.
He aims to give patients clear, sensible advice tailored to the individual, with a focus on identifying the underlying cause of symptoms and recommending the most appropriate treatment, including minimally invasive and motion-preserving techniques where suitable.
Patients are seen in a calm, highly personalised private setting, with time taken to explain options clearly and create a considered plan for recovery.
Whether the next step is reassurance, investigation, injection treatment or surgery, the aim is always the same: clear answers, expert care and confidence in what comes next.

How can we help?
Find the right route into care
Specialist assessment and treatment for the spinal conditions patients most commonly need help with, from back and neck pain through to more complex spinal problems.
Back pain and sciatica
Expert assessment for lower back pain, sciatica and lumbar spine conditions, with clear diagnosis and tailored treatment planning.
Neck pain and cervical conditions
Careful assessment and specialist treatment for neck pain, arm pain and nerve compression, including conservative care and surgery where appropriate.
Spinal injections and non-surgical treatment
Assessment and targeted non-surgical treatment for spinal pain, including injection therapies to reduce inflammation and guide further care.
Complex and specialist spinal conditions
Specialist review of more complex spinal problems, including spinal deformity, trauma and tumours, with clear guidance on investigation and treatment options.
TREATMENTS
Comprehensive care across spinal conditions and treatments
Mr Quaye’s practice covers a broad range of specialist spinal treatments, combining careful conservative care with advanced surgical expertise. This includes minimally invasive and motion-preserving techniques where appropriate, helping patients recover more quickly and, in some cases, avoid or reduce hospital stay.
Spinal injections
Targeted treatment for joint and nerve pain, including epidural and nerve root injections. Often used to reduce inflammation, confirm the source of symptoms and help avoid or delay surgery.
Cervical surgery
Including ACDF, cervical disc replacement and decompression procedures. Where appropriate, motion-preserving techniques may be used to maintain movement and support long-term spinal health.
Lumbar surgery
Including lumbar discectomy, decompression and fusion procedures. Minimally invasive techniques may be used where suitable, helping reduce tissue disruption and support faster recovery.
Advanced and robotic spinal surgery
Using advanced techniques including robotic-assisted surgery and image-guided navigation to improve accuracy, safety and outcomes in more complex spinal procedures.
Minimally invasive spine surgery
Advanced techniques including endoscopic and tubular procedures designed to minimise tissue damage, reduce pain and support faster recovery. In selected cases, surgery may be performed as a day-case with shorter hospital stays.
